The Killers finally coming to Malmö

One of the biggest and most successful rock groups of the decade - The Killers – is coming to Sweden to give two concerts at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm on 28 February and Malmö Arena on 2 March.

During the course of the last decade this Las Vegas group has conquered the world, selling more than 15 million albums, winning numerous awards and distinctions, and gaining millions and millions of fans. Very few rock groups have had so many major hits during the last ten years as The Killers. Formed in 2001, the group had their first major hit single in 2003 when "Mr. Brightside" topped charts around the world. The single was the first from the group’s debut album "Hot Fuss" (2004) – an album that also includes numbers such as "All These Things That I've Done", "Smile Like You Mean It" and the monster hit "Somebody Told Me".

After the group’s debut success, expectations were sky-high for their follow-up release. In October 2006 they showed again that they could create legendary rock music with the release of their second album, "Sam's Town", which includes the hit "When You Were Young". The legions of admiring fans continued to grow and two years later saw the group’s third album release "Day & Age". This album, together with their first single "Human", was an enormous success and was followed by an extensive world tour.

September this year saw the long awaited release of the group’s fourth album "Battle Born", featuring the hit single "Runaways". The album immediately went to no. 1 on iTunes’ hit lists in 11 different countries, including Sweden.

The last time the group performed in Sweden was in 2009, when they were the main attraction at the Hultsfred Festival. We know that ever since their fans have been longing for a return visit, and now at last they are to give not just one, but two concerts in Sweden. We can hardly wait!
