This spring also marks 30 years since Helen Sjöholm's breakthrough, which took place right here in Malmö, where she played the title role in Björn and Benny's musical Kristina från Duvemåla.

The musical Änglagård—based on Colin Nutley's classic film and written by Fredrik Kempe, Edward af Sillén, and Daniel Réhn—had its world premiere at the prestigious Oscarsteatern in Stockholm in September 2023. Since then, it has played over 200 performances and sold more than 210,000 tickets.

Änglagård is the year’s grand musical experience—a lavish and heartwarming production filled with laughter, tears, love, dance, and song!

About the Musical Änglagård
It has been over 30 years since Colin Nutley's film Änglagård—starring Helena Bergström, Rikard Wolff, Sven Wollter, Viveka Seldahl, and others—captured our hearts. When the film premiered in cinemas in 1992, it was seen by 1.4 million viewers and won the most awards at the Guldbagge Gala, including Best Film and Best Director. It was also Sweden’s submission for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards and is now a cherished part of Swedish film history.
Now, you have the chance to relive this cinematic classic as a musical on the arena stage.

In the musical sensation Änglagård, Sweden’s iconic stars Tommy Körberg and Helen Sjöholm take center stage. Helen portrays Rut Flogfält, the village matriarch who stands to lose everything when Fanny returns to Yxared. In contrast, Tommy Körberg plays Gottfrid Pettersson, whose quiet bachelor life with his brother Ivar takes an unexpected turn when the colorful pair disrupt their routine.

The musical Änglagård, written by Fredrik Kempe, Edward af Sillén, and Daniel Réhn, is based on Colin Nutley’s beloved film.

This newly written musical success is brought to you by Vicky Nöjesproduktion and co-producer 2Entertain, with the Malmö production presented in collaboration with Krall Entertainment.

  • How to get here

    It is very easy to get to Malmö Arena by public transportation. Hyllie Station and the bus stops are only about 2 minutes away from our main entrances. For more information about how to find your way here, click here

  • Security

    Make sure to be well on time to your event. This will help us minmize the queues and to make your entry will be as smooth as possible. You are not allowed to bring any professional audio or video equipment into the arena. You may not bring your own food and drink. It is not allowed to bring any scooters or bikes or the electrical batteries for them. Smoking is only allowed outdoors. A stamp must be obtained at one of the entrances before you leave the arena.

  • Bags are not allowed

    Malmö Arena adheres to the authority decision regarding a total ban of bags at major public events. This applies to all types of bags regardless of size. This also includes plastic bags, clear and covered. Exceptions may be made for people who for medical reasons need to bring a smaller bag. These bags will be checked by authorized staff before entering the arena.

  • Wardrobe

    Wardrobes are available on site and it costs SEK 40 per garment. No bags. We only accept card payments.

  • Tickets

    Everyone attending the event must present a valid ticket. ATTENTION! Always buy your tickets from authorized ticket resellers. Second-hand sites usually sell tickets at higher prices and without guarantee that they are genuine. We do not exchange or replace tickets that have been purchased secondhand. Any comments on your places/sight must always be made directly on site, after the event is completed, the places are considered approved by you as a visitor.

  • Cashless arena

    Malmö Arena is a cashless arena and only accepts card payments.
